Um estranho numa Terra Familiar

Unfortunately dear friend, it is not only in America that there are people in small municipalities who govern, manage, influence, buy and sell land, commerce and also "buy" people! And if by chance, you decide to buy land there, 40(38) years ago, build a house, and live there (even if it's just during holidays and/or weekends), you will never be considered a "countrymen" or "my neighbor", one of " them"...But you will always be seen as a stranger, a usurper, or even some "rich" boys from the city who have the obsession that they are now farmers", and no matter how much you do and contribute to the municipality, be it financially, commercially or touristically! By promoting the land, and even bring more people who also buy land and make their home or their holiday home there, you will always be placed in the category of those who will never be welcome, well seen or well received... Thats, my dear friend, is not just in America, It's anywhere in the world where people treat you well if your're passing through, but they treat you terribly once you live there! It is incoherent and narrow-minded but it is the cruel and sad reality! Jesus! the sad and harsh reality!  And unfortunately it's not worth doing the same: "An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth" and it's better to ignore it, start going to the cafe and supermarket 5 km away and go about our lives as if it were nothing!...

That, my dear friend, is not just in America, It's anywhere in the world where people treat you well if you're passing through, but they treat you like shit once you live there! It is incoherent and  stupid but it is the cruel and the sad harsh reality! Unfortunately it's not worth doing the same: "An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth" and it's better to ignore them, start going to the cafe and supermarket 5 km away and go about our lives as if it were nothing and try to do the best possible in life! Because after the death of my Father (and two other family members in less than 6 months) I realized that life is too short, and so precious, that it's not worth wasting it on petty quarrels, and it's better to enjoy every moment we have to do what we want and to be with those we love and seize the day! Best wishes for you and your loved ones
